Rev. Roland Butler, III ~ Senior Pastor
Sis. Kesha Butler ~ Leading Lady
Born December 17, 1975 to the union of Pastor Roland Butler, Jr. and the late Ester Young Butler; Rev. Butler, III has humbly accepted the call to serve as the proud Pastor of the Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Murfreesboro, Tennessee April 1, 2022.
In May of 2008, Rev. Butler announced his call into the preaching ministry of God and preached his first public sermon and was Licensed on June 29, 2008. In November 2009, Rev. Butler was Ordained into the ministry at the St. Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, Pembroke, Kentucky.
In April of 2008, Rev. Butler accept his first Pastorate call at the Princeton Street Baptist Church, Crofton, Kentucky and served for the next 10 years.
Over the past 20 years, Rev. Butler has served in multiple capacities throughout the Church including, Ordained Deacon, Church Treasurer, Sunday School and Bible Study Teacher, Associate Minister, MDLA Assistant Moderator, and Pastor.
In 1998, while both were attending Western Kentucky University, Rev. Butler married his college sweetheart Kesha Clay Butler and to this union they were blessed with two wonderful children, Roland Butler, IV and Arianna E. Butler.
Rev. Butler holds an Associate in Arts Degree from Hopkinsville Community College, a Bachelor Degree in Education from Western Kentucky University and a Master Degree in Human Development and Educational Leadership from Murray State University. Currently, Rev. Butler is enrolled at Andersonville Theological Seminary where he's currently pursuing a Master of Ministry degree in Pastoral leadership.
Rev. Butler has worked the past 20+ year in Education, teaching and tutoring at the elementary, middle, high and community college levels.
Rev. Butler loves Preaching and Teaching God’s word as well as his family, his church and his friends.
In his spare time, Rev. Butler enjoys listening to good preaching, reading and studying God’s word, playing golf, riding his motorcycle and spending quality time with his beautiful wife and kids and friends. He also finds great joy watching sports and having fun.
